Insight Global TS/SCI cleared Lead Systems Engineer (Test Lab) in El Segundo, California

Job Description

A large aerospace company is looking for a TS/SCI cleared Lead Systems Engineer to join their team in El Segundo, CA.

This Engineer will be responsible for commissioning and managing a new electronics testing lab. This person will be focused on the lab's capabilities; ensuring the lab's industrial controls and other equipment are aligned with current and upcoming business needs.

Responsibilities include:

 Lead systems engineering efforts in maturing technologies under development and defining requirements and capabilities associated with a highly complex, industrial, automated thermal test laboratory currently under development.

Defining requirements and capabilities in an agile model-based engineering environment.

Partnering with internal teams to understand the current state and future goals for testing, verification and validation

Identify, coordinate and communicate requirements, functional threads and interfaces for incorporation into system architecture, modeling environment and system physical design

Identify, innovate and oversee development and maintenance of new tools and processes to support this work scope

Support and lead customer engagement for technologies under research & development

Skills and Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance

 Minimum of a Bachelor degree

 11+ years of experience

 Experience with industrial control systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and instrumentation.

 Demonstrated leadership for driving issue resolution and mitigating technical risk

 Experience in defining and implementing a highly industrialized, automated test environment.

 Experience in working in a agile model based system engineering environment Active TS/SCI with polygraph

 Experience with implementation and troubleshooting of industrial communication networks including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, DeviceNet, RS-232/422/485 null
