Aerotek Facilities Maintenance Technician in Eldridge, Iowa

Job Description

The Operator III, Facility Maintenance is a crucial role within our Eldridge, Iowa facility, providing comprehensive facilities maintenance and general operations support. The successful candidate will engage in the day-to-day maintenance and repair of machinery that keeps the plant operating. This includes but is not limited to, repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, piping, heat exchangers, and other power-driven rotating equipment. The role also involves performing assigned inspections and preventive maintenance schedules.

Hard/Soft Skills

  • Ability to work with pumps, hydraulics, piping, plumbing, PVC, and hoses

  • Basic Electrical knowledge

  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds

  • Operating a forklift and other heavy equipment used in maintenance and construction

  • Operating power tools stationary and portable

  • Flexibility to wear multiple hats

  • Willingness to take on any task, no matter the level

  • Ability to work in a tight-knit team

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Eldridge, Iowa.

Work Environment

Our Eldridge facility is a clean, well-lit environment, though it may require working in tight spaces at times. Safety is our number one priority. The facility supplies chemicals to steel manufacturers, involving a variety of different chemicals in the warehouse where they are stored, mixed, packed, etc. The culture within our team is one of close collaboration, with a shared commitment to get the job done. In total, there are around 20 people working in the warehouse.

Additional Information:

  • 1st shift hours.

  • Rarely work weekends!

  • Pay dependent on experience

  • Weekly pay + full benefits (Medical/dental/vision)
