Machine Operator

Location: Elgin, Illinois

Pay: $20-25 (based on experience)

Description

• Setup and operate a high speed printing press machine

• Limit scrap waste, deliver said waste to proper dept. when scrap truck is full, and accurately tag for waste reporting

• Practice good lock out/ tag out procedures

• Follow reporting processes for accurate completion of production paperwork

• Mount die boards, assist in the setup of machine, and keep machine runnin

• Read and understand production order copy for every production run

• Understand machine mechanical functionality and conduct in depth cleaning of press when scheduled

Skills:

Inspection, machine set up

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 2 years of high-speed package operating experience

• Accurately read a measuring tape and ruler; and use basic shop math

• Ability to work in a high-speed packaging environment, package, and label

• Must be comfortable with lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the day
