U.S. Coast Guard Management And Program Analyst in Elizabeth City, North Carolina

Summary This vacancy is for aGS-0343-12, Management And Program Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, ALC AVIATION LOGISTICS DIVISION -ALD. This position is open for Status Candidates in the local commuting area of Elizabeth City, NC. Responsibilities You will serve as a Management And Program Analyst and be responsible for providing staff administrative, analytical and evaluative work related to program objectives, management and organizational efficiency and productivity. Much of the work is accomplished through consultation and technical specialist, other organizations, vendors, contractors and customers. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Evaluating replies to audits and inquiries Determining appropriate changes or corrective actions required for administrative audits and investigative reports Conducting analytical support services reviews of all outstanding obligations Preparing input to briefings or presentations Interpreting guidance received from various departments regarding budgeting, funding and internal management controls Requirements Conditions of Employment All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation. This is a Bargaining Unit position. Selectee must provide a valid state driver's license and safe driving record. Time in Grade requirement must be met by the closing date of the vacancy. Qualifications To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Your resume must demonstrate that you meet 5 out of 6 specialized experiences. Specialized experience must include the following: Responding to inquiries from leadership and external auditing agencies. Independently determine change or corrective actions required for administrative audits and investigative reports. Interpreting polices received from higher headquarters regarding budgeting, funding projects, resources and internal management controls. Analyzing regulations to determine the impact of a program. Conducting surveys and gathering information on current and projected work orders. Completing fluctuating work assignments caused by special requirements and changing missions, priorities and objectives. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. NOTE: Education can NOT be substituted for experience at this grade level. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
