POSITION: Concurrent Enrollment Teacher for High School English

DUTIES: * Teach English courses that align with both high school graduation requirements and college-level expectations. * Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication among students. * Facilitate discussions and activities that encourage student participation and academic growth in preparation for college. * Incorporate instructional technologies and resources to enhance student learning experiences. * Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and other forms of evaluation, providing timely feedback to promote student success. * Collaborate with high school and college faculty to align curriculum, ensure academic rigor, and maintain accreditation standards. * Support and mentor students in navigating the concurrent enrollment program, offering guidance on college readiness and academic planning. * Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance, adhering to school and college policies. * Participate in professional development activities to stay current with educational trends, teaching methodologies, and content knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. * Valid teaching license/certification in Colorado for high school English. * Experience teaching high school English, preferably including advanced or college-level coursework. * Familiarity with concurrent enrollment programs or experience teaching dual credit courses is advantageous. * Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents. * Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. * Knowledge of instructional technologies and willingness to integrate them into teaching practices. * Organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining student records and administrative tasks.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

WAGE: $43,000-$62,000

SHIFTS: 8-hour days
