Job Overview:
The Trinitas Women's, Infants and Children Nutrition Program, or WIC, is a supplemental food and nutrition program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). WIC provides nutritious foods, nutrition education, health screenings, and access to health care and referrals to community organizations, breastfeeding education, and immunization information and voter registration.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
At least three years of equivalent office experience and working with computers
Must be able to work with high volume of clients and families
Must be able to multitask and use of critical thinking required
Preferred:
Bilingual preferred
Associates Degree with background in computer services or equivalent experience
Scheduling Requirements:
Shift- Day (varies)
Monday- Friday with Some weekends schedule
Full Time
Essential Functions:
Enters and verifies family registration information
Completes and processes affidavits as needed
Conducts financial screening for income, identification and address
Ensures that appropriate health information and immunizations records are entered into the system
Schedules appropriate appointments in person and over the phones,
Process Voter Registration and collects electronic signatures,
Uses the language line as appropriate
Provides Program information which includes explains the Rights and Obligations, Complaint Process, Fair Hearing, Sanctions,
Collects consents and electronic signatures as required
Issues ewic card program benefits, Program guides/EBT according to policies
Ensures electronic signatures are collected
Provides detailed program orientation, benefits, vendor lists, other required forms for future appointments
Determines future appointment types
Documents attendance of on-line education and conducts surveys
Maintains program records and storage of program forms and supplies
Monitors benefits instruments issuance and physical inventories
Investigates Lost/Stolen instruments according to policy
Follows protocols for program mailings
Maintains required logs
Retrieve client information from the participant portal and public email
Operates various office equipment including computer, phone, fax, copier, printers, scanners, signature pads, cell phones, etc,
and follows protocol for establishing network connectivity at mains site and at remote sites
Covers the reception area and phones while screening for appointment verification
Assists in other related duties including outreach events and program/departmental training
Assists in other related duties for to ensure services are not interrupted
Attends required trainings
