Job Overview:

The Food Service Worker II will assist with the serving of meals and ensuring that the meals arrives to floor on time. This position will ensure sanitation is completed in the department and to meet regulatory standards. In addition, this individual will work in the dish room ensuring that all dish ware is properly cleaned and sanitized along with cleaning all food trucks, ensuring that all food debris is removed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma, GED or applicable previous experience

  • Must have the abilityto read, write and speak English

  • Follow written and verbal instructions

Preferred:

  • Experience in health care environment desirable, but not required

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures customer satisfaction, serves customers to meet their dietary needs. Follows HACCP rulesand regulations. Cleans work area as related to the preparation and serving of food

  • Solves customer problems, treats customer with dignity and respect, acknowledges customer andrespond quickly to customer needs

  • Demonstrates compliance with and reporting of suspectedviolations of all relevant laws, regulations, Compliance Policies and Procedures, and the Code of Conduct

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age ofthe patients served, including knowledge of the principles of growth and development and psycho-social characteristics and interventions for thepatient populations

  • Demonstrates the ability to assess and interpret age appropriate data about the patient sstatus in order to identify age-specific needs and provide the care needed

  • Demonstrates age appropriate communication skills for the patient population served

  • Follows HACCP rules & regulations, cleanliness & appearance of workstation and work performed

  • Prepare trays according to production sheets per dietary needs

  • Prepare any non-cooked items required for trays according to needs

  • Must be flexible in various food service workers position throughout the department
