Job Overview:

The Monitor Technician oversees the cardiac monitor for arrhythmias and changes in rhythm.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Completion of a Medical Assisting, CNA or related technical education course, completion of Fundamentals of Nursing course, or hospital based telemetry technician experience

Preferred:

• At least one year of telemetry/monitoring work experience

• Certified completion of ECG or telemetry course including Rhythm / Arrhythmia identification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift working, 8:00 4:30pm each day

• FT

Essential Functions:

• Analyzes rhythm, calculates cardiac

• Rhythm measurements and report changes

• Enters accurate information of individual patient to telemetry monitor system

• Discharge patient from system as directed by RN
