Job Overview:
The Monitor Technician oversees the cardiac monitor for arrhythmias and changes in rhythm.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of a Medical Assisting, CNA or related technical education course, completion of Fundamentals of Nursing course, or hospital based telemetry technician experience
Preferred:
At least one year of telemetry/monitoring work experience
Certified completion of ECG or telemetry course including Rhythm / Arrhythmia identification
Scheduling Requirements:
Shift working, 8:00 4:30pm each day

Essential Functions:
Analyzes rhythm, calculates cardiac
Rhythm measurements and report changes
Enters accurate information of individual patient to telemetry monitor system
Discharge patient from system as directed by RN
