Lotte Aluminum Materials USA, LLC Automation Engineer in Elizabethtown, Kentucky

•Install and integrate automated systems with existing production lines, ensuring seamless operation; •Ensure compatibility and interoperability of different automation components and systems (SIEMENS, MITSUBISHI, ALLEN BRADLEY ETC);•Develop and program PLC, HMI, DRIVE and other control systems (especially for SIEMENS);•Create detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for automated systems; •Conduct testing and validation of automated systems to ensure they function properly and meet and production requirements; •Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems and electric system, ensuring minimal downtime; •Perform regular maintenance and updates to automated systems to enhance performance and reliability; •Analyze production processes to identify areas for automation and improvement;•Implement process control strategies to optimize production efficiency and quality;•Monitor and analyze system performance data to continuously improve automation systems; •Ensure all automated systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations; •Develop and implement safety protocols for working with automated equipment; •Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks; •Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology and industry best practices;•Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence in battery manufacturing; •Train production staff and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of automated systems;•Prepare comprehensive documentation for automated systems, including user manuals, maintenance guides, technical reports, modifications, repairs, and updates made to automated systems;•Establishment and configuration of interface between equipment & MES & SAP; and•Cooperation with client company AUDIT and external certification related work.Requirements: •Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other closely related field of study; •More than 10 years of Experience in handling production systems; •Proficient in PLC and HMI programming and configuration;•Understanding of electrical circuit design, including schematics and wiring diagrams; and •Knowledge of electronic components and their applications in automation.
