We’re the Support Programs Quality Assurance (SPQA) team, and our mission is to provide outstanding automated and manual testing for the tools and applications that enable AppleCare to deliver outstanding support to customers. SPQA is looking for a Quality Engineer to support testing and identifying issues of pre-release software. As a member of SPQA you will have a unique opportunity to drive the quality of applications and workflows used within AppleCare.

Key Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge in Contact Center tools and workflows

  • Previous experience with software QA including test planning, writing, and assessing and communicating risk based on issues identified

  • Knowledge and proficiency with QA methodologies

  • Strong focus on the customer experience

  • Skilled at analyzing complex or ambiguous issues

  • Creative problem solver

  • Curious and agile learner

  • Strong verbal and written communicator

  • Experience with utilizing, running and contributing to automation preferred

  • Some experience with coding required, knowledge with Python and Swift preferred

Description

As a member of SPQA, you will play an important role ensuring AppleCare related applications and workflows meet quality standards during pre-release testing and post-release validations. Your ability to design and implement test plans, lead testing efforts, tackle issues, identify defects, and provide clear risk assessments to the project team is key to success in this role. You will have strong critical thinking skills, and value communication and collaboration as part of a global cross-functional team.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $96,900.00 and $161,600.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
