Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This position is for a maintenance technician who will be working in a GMP environment. Respond to repair requests of production machinery and building equipment in all facility areas. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems and make appropriate repairs to return machinery to a satisfactory running condition. Work from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts, and written or verbal instructions to perform assigned tasks. Perform moderate to complex adjustments, maintenance, and repairs to plant equipment such as bagging machines, conveyors, case erectors, kitchen equipment, and utility equipment. Perform basic rebuilding of gearboxes, motors, and small pneumatic equipment. Analyze existing problems and help provide innovative solutions. Unload powdered and liquid raw materials from rail cars as needed. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on plant process and utility equipment, including lubrication, filter replacement, and equipment inspection. Assist as needed on equipment installations and upgrades within the scope of equipment.
