Position Purpose:
Supervises the day-to-day operations of the water treatment plant.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
The Superintendent reports to the General Manager as do the Foreman, Billing Clerk and Administrative Assistant. Reporting to this position are the Head Operator and Operator.
To perform effectively in this position, an individual must be licensed by the state of New Jersey with Operator T-4, W-4 and N-1.
The Superintendent supervises the daily activities of the Head Operator and the Operator at the water treatment plant site, ensuring that preventative maintenance on equipment is done properly and in a timely manner.
The incumbent ensures an adequate supply of chemicals and parts for the treatment plant, ordering supplies as necessary.
The Superintendent handles customer complaints and distribution inquiries.
The Superintendent completes the state required reports including T-Reports, NJPDES, Diversion and TCPA reports.
The incumbent ensures that both chemical and bacteriological sampling is completed as required by state and federal governments.

Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment and day-to-day operations.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
NC WW 2 is required.
NC WW 3 is preferred.
Driver's license is required.
