Key Job Responsibilities
Maintenance, repair, service and inspection of the mining equipment
Able to diagnose Mechanical, Hydraulic and electrical systems
Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites
Test the repaired equipment for proper performance
Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a one year technical college education.
Experience with motor controls, circuit’s installations, reading and understanding schematics, PLC’s, Digital Drives and general troubleshooting
Knowledge on how to align couples on motors, transfer cases and gearboxes
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
Read and interpret electrical drawings to wire/repair electrical systems.
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
Maintain, repair, test and install AC & DC electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
Install, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience in similar job experience an asset
Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a one-year technical college education.
AAS with over 2 years with motor controls, circuit’s installations, read and understand schematics, PLC’s, Digital Drives and general troubleshooting
