Key Job Responsibilities

  • Maintenance, repair, service and inspection of the mining equipment

  • Able to diagnose Mechanical, Hydraulic and electrical systems

  • Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites

  • Test the repaired equipment for proper performance

  • Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a one year technical college education.

  • Experience with motor controls, circuit’s installations, reading and understanding schematics, PLC’s, Digital Drives and general troubleshooting

  • Knowledge on how to align couples on motors, transfer cases and gearboxes

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings to wire/repair electrical systems.

  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.

  • Maintain, repair, test and install AC & DC electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in similar job experience an asset

  • Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a one-year technical college education.

  • AAS with over 2 years with motor controls, circuit’s installations, read and understand schematics, PLC’s, Digital Drives and general troubleshooting
