Job Summary

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management of one or multiple moderately complex projects concurrently as well as planning and performing analysis of company functions, processes, and activities.

Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead the charge in transitioning the imaging and shipping of laptops and other hardware technology assets to external suppliers. Our ideal candidate will spearhead initiatives that enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and user satisfaction. This role is full-time and hybrid in Elkton, MD.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan to transition imaging and shipping of technology assets from the company to suppliers

  • Collect and analyze requirements for ordering assets, including specifics on imaging, to provide clear directives to suppliers

  • Collaborate with suppliers to document their capabilities regarding direct imaging and shipping to end users

  • Conduct a thorough cost analysis comparing internal costs for this service versus outsourcing to suppliers. Establish a budget for moving forward with the new process

  • Incorporate asset tracking processes and procedures, using existing practices and systems where they to manage the assignment of assets/licenses directly from the supplier

  • Account for all remaining on-premise assets and devise a strategic plan for the cutover to the new process

  • Set up robust quality control measures to maintain high standards in the delivery and condition of the technology assets

  • Develop a sustainable plan for the disposal of assets as necessary, in compliance with environmental regulations and company policies

What You'll Need

Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management, within the IT sector

  • Strong understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management principles. Must have ITSM related project experience

  • Proven experience working with external vendors and managing vendor relationships

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Asset Management as an integral component of ITSM

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work cross functionally with different groups in an organization to define, plan and execute projects

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an analytical mindset to handle complex challenges

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
