The Role: The Eastside Teacher Education Program Coordinator will coordinate bilingual education/dual language teacher education programs primarily located in Yakima, WA and Ellensburg, WA. Responsibilities include providing pre-major information to prospective education students, planning and coordinating program-specific student support services, developing and implementing program recruitment and marketing, and maintaining relationships with regional school districts and community partners. Job Duties Eastside Program Coordination - Coordinate eastside bilingual education programs located in Ellensburg, WA and the eastern Washington CWU Center. - Provide pre-major information and support to prospective students in English and Spanish and independently respond to inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and school/community partners regarding bilingual education programs - Plan, schedule, and conduct site orientations in collaboration with centers and SOE faculty and staff in English and Spanish - Maintain updated program documents, materials, and website for bilingual education programs - Monitor course and program needs and provide information and recommendations to Academic Advisors and Departments - Support student retention by collaborating with Advising and SOE staff to connect students with regional community and university resources as needed - Exercise independent judgement in interpreting and applying rules, policies, procedures, etc. - Attend meetings as program representative - Resolve problems Communication and Recruitment - Develop and execute a program recruitin
