Robert Half Records Management Clerk in Elmhurst, Illinois

Description We are on the lookout for a Records Management Clerk to join our team in the non-profit sector, located in Elmhurst, Illinois. This role provides a short term contract employment opportunity in which you will be responsible for handling and managing police records and associated documents. The position involves tasks such as data entry, filing, retrieving, and distributing records in compliance with legal standards and departmental policies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain police records and related documentation, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Carry out data entry tasks efficiently, ensuring all record details are accurately captured.

• File records systematically to ensure easy retrieval when required.

• Distribute records as per departmental policies and legal standards.

• Handle customer inquiries effectively, ensuring excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary.

• Use software tools such as Allscripts, Avaya CMS, Banner Ads, Cerner Technologies, Datatel, and About Time to perform duties effectively.

• Handle tasks such as answering inbound calls and performing billing functions.

• Create charts and graphs as part of clerical duties to present data in a comprehensible manner.

• Maintain the highest level of accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications. Requirements • Proficiency in Allscripts, Avaya CMS, Banner Ads, Cerner Technologies, and Datatel software

• Experience with About Time software

• Ability to handle answering inbound calls in a professional manner

• Familiarity with billing functions and processes

• Proficiency in creating charts and graphs for record keeping and data presentation

• Experience performing various clerical duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
