Greater Southern Tier BOCES COOK MANAGER in Elmira, New York
LOCATIONS: CANASERAGA AND HORNELL AREA CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS
Full-time (1.0 FTE), 8-hour day, 10 month school calendar position plus summer work as needed
Assist with leadership and management of the Food Service program
Complete paperwork related to the Child Nutrition Program
Utilize computer programs including Excel, email, etc.
Provide training for the cooking staff
Provide supervision of Food Service staff
Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
AAS Degree (specializing in foods, nutrition or institutional management) OR High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 4 years’ experience in the preparation of food on a large scale.
Previous food service management experience
Good verbal, written and computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Must be able to use Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated supervisory, recordkeeping, planning and problem-solving skills and training and customer service skills
SALARY RANGE: Salary based on related work experience and annual hours scheduled. May include additional paid summer work as needed. Comprehensive benefit package included.
