Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Encino, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager - Public at our Professional Services firm located in Encino, California. The role involves managing various tax functions, conducting research, and maintaining direct communication with clients. The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask, work under pressure to meet deadlines, and be a team player.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of complex tax returns for various entities including individuals, corporations, nonprofits, partnerships, and trusts.

• Manage the review and signing off process of tax returns.

• Conduct comprehensive tax research and planning.

• Handle communication with IRS, FTB, and other regulatory agencies.

• Carry out quarterly estimates and other computations, including salary projections.

• Maintain direct communication with clients to build relationships and manage expectations.

• Utilize QuickBooks and Lacerte Tax Software for various tax-related tasks.

• Prepare annual tax provisions and advise on complex tax return issues.

• Foster a positive work environment and demonstrate an excellent work ethic.

• Continuously develop skills in all tax areas including compliance, planning, research, and advisory services. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a Tax Manager role within the Professional Services industry.

• Proven experience with Annual Tax Provision is required.

• Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software is essential.

• Demonstrated ability to use QuickBooks for financial tasks and reporting.

• Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.

• Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Proven ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Must be able to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Advanced degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable.

• Must have a strong understanding of federal and state tax codes and regulations.

• Experience with tax research software and tax planning is necessary.

• Must have excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong work ethic.
