An Aerospace Engineer III job is available with our client in Englewood, CO. In this role you will be responsible to research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience.

Current active Department of Defense Secret security clearance required

JOB DUTIES:

• Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services.

• Develop complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems.

• Technical duties involve the design and development, analysis, and test of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.

• Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements: Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.

• Frequently repeat the same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.

• Rarely lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs.

• Working Conditions: Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience.

• Current active Department of Defense Secret security clearance required

• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices

• Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

• Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using StarCCM.

• Experience with Flight Test and Wind Tunnel preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of aircraft external loads, aircraft performance and stability and control.

• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.

• Understanding of system-level static and dynamic modeling and simulation.

• Exposure to aircraft stability principles and control system design and analysis.

• Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of flight mechanics.
