Responsibilities

Our Customer Service Pharmacy Technician coordinates communication between pharmacy, providers and facilities while resolving prescription issues in a timely, efficient, courteous, responsive, reliable, and respectful manner. This person will: Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapies Take requests for refill orders, out on pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests Assist the pharmacist with facility and physician office communications Obtain patient information for our database by calling patient care representatives and physician offices Utilize judgement in knowing when to escalate issues to the management level Utilize various programs such as Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word Complete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required One year of previous experience with direct client communication - customer service Prior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred Strong computer and data entry skills Must have good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
