Senior Software Development Engineer I at Travelport LP in Centennial, CO.

Develop, enhance, and maintain the stability of the zTPF (z/Transaction Processing Facility) platforms operating system. Provide high quality technical expertise and guidance through the build, test, and production phases. Participate in the configuration, maintenance, development, and reliable operation of Travelport's zTPF test, pre production and production environments. Own and drive changes and projects through all stages of the development and implementation life cycle. Act as a technical lead for large zTPF / TPF complex projects as SME taking the organizational view and compliance standards into account and understanding the impact on adjacent systems and long-term impact of technical and functional decisions. Collaborate effectively on zTPFGI and zTPF design and systems development with key stakeholders regarding infrastructure, quality, architecture, security, project management, operations, and commercial to ensure business requirements, quality, cost, and timeline requirements are met and aligned with architectural roadmaps. Conduct zTPF software testing in a VM (VPARS) environment. Drive collaborative relationships with key vendors and partners to accomplish strategic technology, application, and internal business system delivery goals. Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and actively contribute to quality assurance and software development engineering best practices. Implement Agile Methodologies and SAFe principles. Provide operational and production support services for Travelport zTPF Systems or zTPF database. Provide technical support for zTPF OS functions including new functionality and assistance with debugging and problem resolution. Develop and enhance zTPF applications and zTPF database management code and the databases. Provide 24x7 on call availability and support on a rotating weekly basis with other group staff. Hybrid work schedule.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field and three years of experience in the job offered or in quality assurance and software development. Stated experience must include: zTPFGI and zTPF; testing zTPF software in a VM (VPARS) environment; project management and operations; Agile Methodologies; and SAFe.
