Position Description: QMS/ISO Manager

 

Under the supervision of the CCO, the QMS/ISO Manager will be responsible for leading our quality team.  This role combines a strong foundation in quality assurance and ISO 9001:2015 expertise.  The QMS/ISO ensures ISO regulatory compliance and requirements are met and the corporation meets all standards.    The QMS/ISO Manager oversees the Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Understand and represent PRI™'s mission, vision, and values to all internal and external customers
  • Interact with government and private sector clients, partners, and PRI™ staff in a professional and accountable manner, and as a representative of PRI™ management
  • Engage internal and external clients in appropriate communication that manages client expectations and builds a collaborative relationship with the client
  • Proactively manages and coordinates activities to ensure timeliness of deliverables
  • Interact with project team members to successfully fulfill contract obligations with the highest quality and in a timely manner meeting PRI™ ISO requirements `
  • Instills integrity throughout the organization via active participation in ISO requirements including but not limited to timely submission of Corrective Action Plans for all matters in which either PRI™ standards and/or corporate contract standards have not been met. Communicating outcomes to team members to ensure a positive, open, environment which mitigates risk and achieves a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement
  • Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance of ISO standards.
  • Oversee the entire quality assurance process, including audits and testing to ensure integrity and PRI Quality policies are met and/or exceeded.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for ISO quality related inquiries and issues.
  • Collaborates with team members to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure that quality objectives are achieved.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of QA policies and procedures to adapt to new regulations, ISO standards and industry best practices.
  • Determines quality standards and the requirements to meet these standards: Recommends procedures used to ensure criteria is being met.
  • Organizes supporting ISO documentation, policies, procedures, training materials, etc. in a document management system.
  • Fosters a culture of high performance, continuous quality improvement and collaborative teamwork.
  • Oversees, implements, audits and monitors ISO initiatives
  • Maintains ISO data management systems with timely and accurate reporting of audit findings, investigations and initiatives.
  • Responsible for internal ISO reviews and management reviews to ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented and assessed.
  • Responsible for providing data capture and analysis of key indicators and reporting of such to the CCO/CEO and subsequently, the PRI Board of Directors.
  • Facilitates and leads ISO quality related investigations. Provides immediate reporting of outcomes to the CCO/CEO and COO.
  • At the discretion of the CCO, may present recommended policy changes to the Compliance Committee for consideration and approval activities.
  • Recommends annual goals and outcomes to the CCO and subsequently to the PRI Board of Directors.
  • May serve on Compliance Committee
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or other advanced degree with additional experience
  • Expert in ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Technical writing, ability to understand and translate complex regulations into ISO Standards
  • The ability and confidence to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with executive management and clients
  • Possess good interpersonal skills, e.g. tact, sensitivity, ability to listen, to be assertive at times
  • The ability to work quickly, flexibly, effectively and positively in response to requests made at short notice
  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with managing a range of tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic growing environment
  • Proactive, ability to work under own initiative without direction
  • The ability to prioritize and organize own workload in an effective and accurate manner, while working within broad guidelines
  • Reliable and trustworthy; Integrity is required
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • The ability to contribute to and work effectively within a team environment
  • Willing to take on additional tasks as required and learn new skills
  • Willingness and ability to undertake training needed to fulfill the changing requirements of the job
  • Proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Must be free of conflict of interest (COI) as defined in 1154(b)(1) of the Social Security Act (SSA)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance
