DHL Express has a career opportunity for a Project Manager – US Network Operations housed in our largest US Operations facility on the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The position reports to the Senior Manager of PMO.

As a Project Manager you will represent Project Sponsors and will influence highly-motivated teams of cross-functional experts; implement and administer effective scoping, scheduling, and budgeting for a wide variety of projects, including facility development and process improvement projects; and develop, use, and maintain project management tools.

You will operate with considerable latitude, performing professional level work. Your creative and innovative management style will motivate others in developing innovative solutions to important, complex program requirements. Inter-department considerations are often present, as well as the potential to contribute to employees' professional development.

Tasks & Accountabilities:

  • Leads a wide variety of projects that support organization’s strategic business objectives

  • Leads project meetings with stakeholders to discuss issues, direction, and implementation strategies, and to solicit new viewpoints

  • Prepares timely and actionable analyses, forecasts, and recommendations for assigned projects to ensure achievement of business objectives

  • Facilitates the development of actionable and time-bound project plans with Project Team

  • Provides consistent and accurate information, research, and analysis to the Project Sponsors

  • Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project team members and other key stakeholders

  • Proactively communicates w/ leadership providing updated and recommendations based on project goals and present constraints

  • Meets with customers with intent to understand their unique needs and create plans to meet needs

  • Develops and follows appropriate processes and procedures for accomplishing work

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional Certification from PMI

  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 6-8 years’ experience in related field or MBA with 3-5 years’ experience in related field

  • Six Sigma, Lean, or Agile experience

  • Proven track record of leading teams to accomplish mid- and long-term goals

  • Entrepreneurial and innovative spirit with a willingness to accept ownership and accountability for leading diverse project team

  • Ability to communicate at multiple levels

  • Seasoned professional with knowledge in areas of project management

  • Serves as consultant to management on major matters pertaining to policies, plans, and objectives.

  • State-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, processes, and practices related to logistic industry
