Under the guidance of the Finance Manager, the Accountant II is responsible for a variety of accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records. You will prepare financial statements, manage accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Accountant Level II will also support senior accounting staff and assist with special projects.

You Will:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate completion.

  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.

  • Assistance with sales and use tax filings and requests from Watts tax team for federal tax filings

  • Help with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Analyze accounting data, identifying trends and variances.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.

  • Help develop and implement new accounting processes and systems.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information.

  • Accounts payable and receivable entry.

  • Audit financial transactions and documents.

  • Provide time and attendance tracking and support for a single or multiple sites.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.

  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables).

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

  • Experience with General ledger functions.

  • Experience with financial analysis and reporting.

  • Experience with subscription revenue billing and management.

  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

  • Experience MS applications and ERP systems.

    The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects base salary only and does not include potential bonuses, benefits, or other forms of compensation.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
