RESUME & COVER LETTER REQUIRED

We are currently seeking a qualified individual to supervise a dynamic team comprised of 5 Technical Services and 4 Computer Services professionals. Our aim is not to find a "unicorn," but rather a candidate who possesses the skills and expertise in either acquisitions, processing, and cataloging, or in the administration and maintenance of technology systems, infrastructure, and resources within a library setting. We are also seeking someone motivated and willing to learn in areas where they may not have prior experience.

Our goal is to find a candidate that pledges to create innovative and meaningful experiences for patrons as they work with their team and other library staff. We are looking for someone who will cultivate their own personal and professional development, and that of the 9 staff members they supervise. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential as this individual will lead our Computer and Technical Services (CaTs) team, playing a critical role to connect staff with tools and resources and facilitating access for patrons to library services As a supervisor and member of the library leadership team, the successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to stay current on library trends and to collaborate with internal and external parties in efforts to support our collection and enhance access to technology and other resources that meet and exceed the needs of both staff and patrons.

Eugene Public Library is a vital member of the community, and we uphold the City of Eugene values of equity, professionalism, integrity, and trust; and we understand that a thriving community is built from embracing and encouraging diversity of thought, experiences and abilities. You are encouraged to apply if you are excited to support the library’s mission of providing equitable resources and opportunities for everyone to create a connected, caring and inspired community.

Create. Cultivate. Connect. Collaborate. Community.
