    The Sr. Director of Finance is an exempt salaried position that provides leadership and direction for financial activities at ShelterCare. This position is part of the Directors' Leadership Team that works closely with the Executive Director to ensure that all agency programs, policies and procedures meet the mission, vision and values of the agency.     The Sr. Director of Finance takes primary responsibility for all financial account and reporting, including but not limited to: payroll; accounts receivable; accounts payable; purchasing; general ledger; fixed assets; and bank recognition. Other responsibilities include: analyzing and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for Shelter's board of directors; and oversees all financials , project/program and grants accounting. This position will also coordinate and lead the annual audit process and work cooperatively with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors.

    The starting range for this role is $99,029 - $113,235 per year depending on a number of factors including experience. This position is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

    ABOUT SHELTERCARE

    ShelterCare is a social services agency that is directed by a board of community volunteers . We have multiple programs in the Eugene/Springfield area. We offer a range of housing solutions combined with wraparound services for families and community members who are experiencing homelessness, on the verge of becoming homeless and have a serious mental illness. Because of the variety of services we offer, we are able to help many people in our community.

    What you bring to ShelterCare:

    Required

    Minimum of a BA, ideally with an MBA/CPA or related degree; at least ten years of overall professional experience; five years of management experience; ideally, experience in the non-profit sector; knowledge of financial forecasting, leadership and business acumen.

    Essential Skills

    Effective communication; detailed and results oriented; negotiation and collaboration; scheduling and time management; leadership; risk management; critical thinking and problem solving; use of technology for email, spreadsheets, documents, etc.

    Physical Requirements

    Work involves sitting most of the work day greater than 50% of the time; Repetitive motion: Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers (computer use). Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading primarily on a computer monitor. Occasional travel required for offsite meetings and events. Normally less than 10% of the time.
