Responsibilities

• Metrology support – Measure product on Variable Gauges, Opening Force Gauges, Vacuum Gauges, etc.

• Support manufacturing within data acquisition software (Lighthouse).

• Verify calibration of a measurement device is within its calibration interval.

• Investigate measurement discrepancies and help manufacturing and engineering determine a resolution.

• Product/process validation testing support.

• Follows applicable Food Safety and cGMP polices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.  Associate degree in plastics, automation, or equivalent technical discipline preferred.

• 2-3 years' experience in manufacturing/ R & D/ Quality Assurance

• Working knowledge of Quality Assurance processes, ISO procedures, SQF requirements, and GMP

• Working Knowledge of measurement techniques, statistical methods, control charts, and SPC

• Must have computer application skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)

• Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume. 

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
