GE Aerospace Combustion Technologies Executive Leader in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

The Combustion Technologies Leader will partner with our commercial programs to drive the combustion technology strategy including fielded products and new technology programs. In this role, you will also provide customer interface with the commercial partners and build a horizontal connection strategy across engineering disciplines.

Job Description

Essential functions:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for combustion engineering design, execution, and product safety for GE commercial products and services

  • Provide leadership and technical direction, influence customer requirements and clearly communicate and execute on customer commitments

  • Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel

  • Work collaboratively across product lines and across disciplines and organizations

  • Promote technical excellence within the organization and ensure vitality of technical roadmaps and technical capabilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved

  • Establish / modify / monitor overall engineering program requirements, timing, and resources to meet / exceed business objectives and goals

  • Effectively communicate technical and financial aspects of organization

  • Ensure positive actions are taken to encourage growth, technical development, and foster career progression

  • Implement FLICHT DECK as the way the organization operates.

  • Ensure compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university

  • 8 years of Technical leadership experience

Desired characteristics:

  • Master’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college

  • Strong business acumen and customer mindset

  • Be a change agent capable of influencing at all organizational levels

  • Prior experience with a focus on managing technical programs including designing and developing new products and solving product issues

  • Strong coaching expertise and success in collaborating across functions, and globally distributed teams

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and proven ability to inspire excellence and stimulate change

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work across all functions / levels as part of a team

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
