Boeing Commercial Airlines has an exciting opportunity for a Assembler Installer Electrical Systems to join our Joint and Installation team in Renton or Everett, WA.

As an electrician in this position, you will play a vital role in the installation of electrical systems, equipment, wire bundle installation, and assemblies in various stages of the aircraft assembly process. This includes the Join and Installation (J&I), System and Installations (S&I), Wing Stub Join (WSJ), Wing Body Join (WBJ), Final Body Join (FBJ), Final Assembly (FA), and other major sub-assembly shops. Position Responsibilities

  • Utilize a computer in a production environment.

  • Look up, read, and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.

  • Route, clamp, and tie wire bundles according to specified wire paths shown on drawings.

  • Install and connect necessary equipment, ground studs, bonding straps, and connectors.

  • Install various assemblies such as blankets, seats, stowbins, floor panels, etc.

  • Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment based on the task being performed.

  • Operate mechanical lifts, including scissors lifts and elevated work platforms.

  • Utilize various tools such as screwdrivers, power screwdrivers, ratchet wrenches, nut runners, drills, wire cutters, wire crimps, soldering guns, and other hand tools.

  • Use chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes.

  • Inspect completed work for quality and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) after testing requirements are met.

  • Engage in frequent activities such as handling (holding, grasping), kneeling, sitting, standing, and walking (3-6 hours).

  • Work around energized sources, including electrical equipment and hazards/shock (e.g., circuit breakers and wiring), and exposure to constant noise.

  • Perform tasks involving flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), finger manipulation, handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, lying down (back, side, front), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist, and walking.

  • Engage in climbing/balancing activities such as using stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, and inclined surfaces, as well as crawling and crouching (squatting).

  • Lift and carry objects weighing between 10-35 pounds.

  • Manipulate fingers for tasks such as keyboarding and other activities.

  • Read from a computer screen, printed drawings, or documents.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Ability to work in confined spaces.

  • 1+ years of experience in electrical assembly installation.

  • 1+ years of experience with safety process and/or procedures in a manufacturing or operations environment.

  • Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Completion of an electrical trade schoolprogram or have military related electrical experience.

  • 1+ years of experience as an Electrician or Apprentice.

  • Enrolled in a Boeing partnered manufacturing related high school or community and technology college academic program.

Typical Education & Experience

High School Diploma and/or General Education Diploma (GED).

Relocation

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business consideration.

Summary pay range: $23.50 - $42.55
