SunQuest Air Specialties Inc Aviation Paint Shop A&P Mechanic in Everett, Washington

Job Function:

            Perform aircraft maintenance and inspections in compliance with FAA and manufacturer specifications; perform inspections during assembly of parts and after repair or installation of components to ensure airworthiness; document maintenance procedures.

            Perform all work activities in accordance with the established laws, regulation, standards, safety protocols and procedures to ensure safety of self and others. Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications. Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance adheres to standards and procedures.

            Recommend replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment based on inspection. Report issues, malfunctions, unusual wear, or damage to appropriate personnel as required. Research, read, and interpret technical manuals and guidelines to perform inspections, installations, repairs and other work activities. Maintains repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance activities. Use computers and other technologies to enter, document, access, receive or communicate information. Serve as a technical expert or mentor by providing advice and corrective recommendations to others. Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Perform other shop duties as assigned, when necessary.

Requirements:

Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Able to work from ladders up to 15 feet

Able to climb up to 2 flights of stairs

Able to work in small, restricted areas

Comply with SunQuest attendance requirements

Must have an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must be authorized to work in the US.

Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Must pass a background check including a government required fingerprint-based criminal history records check.

Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

Must have a valid and operable driver's license.

Must be able to obtain airport SIDA badge.

Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and overtime.

Able to work outside in all weather conditions.

Able to hear at conversational level with hearing aide.

Able to obtain respirator certification.

Must have correctable near and far vision.

Able to schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.

 

 

This position is 100% onsite.

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires a DOT pre-employment drug screen and ongoing DOT mandated random drug and alcohol testing.
