Repair, overhaul and modify commercial aircraft accessory components and component piece parts as necessary. May occasionally be required to perform other duties or responsibilities in addition to or in conjunction with typical work functions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accomplish assigned repair, overhaul and/or modification to include assembly, disassembly, inspection and functional testing tasks as assigned by leadership while utilizing current approved/accepted technical data, component maintenance manuals, overhaul manuals, engineering orders or technical drawings
  • Provide necessary support to aid engineering during development of repair work scope, tooling and test fixture design as necessary.
  • Order parts and materials required for specific jobs assigned utilizing current parts procurement systems.
  • Maintain current and up-to-date work orders, shop travelers, and/or work documents including all pertinent paperwork related to work accomplished prior to shift change or work stoppage.
  • Adhere to and uphold current company standards for production performance, housekeeping, and professionalism, includes demonstrating and employing a positive and proactive approach to 5S and LEAN philosophies while working in a team environment.
  • Confer with your lead or supervisor to resolve questions or problems.
  • Willingness to maintain an acceptable attendance record in accordance with ATS policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Hydraulic/Mechanical Actuation

  • Possesses knowledge of basic plumbing as related to hydraulic and pneumatic actuation and test set-up.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use various types of equipment and precision tooling related to hydraulics. (i.e. Multi-meters, flow meters, flow gages, interpret differential pressure)
  • Ability to calculate force, area and pressure as related to hydraulics
  • Installation & retention of seals, o-rings & back-up rings, bearings and bushings. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Airframe and/or Powerplant License preferred
  • 2 years of related commercial/military aircraft experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

 

Compensation

The base salary for this position is $22.00 -- $30.00 (expressed as annualized hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. This position is eligible for a quarterly corporate bonus. If you are hired at ATS, your final base hourly rate will be based on factors such as skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors -- we consider internal equity of our current team
