Queen's Health System Nursing Supervisor - West Nursing Support (Call-In, Varied Shifts) in Ewa Beach, Hawaii

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as the administrative officer and responsible for supervisory coverage including but not limited to coordinating and directing hospital administrative issues on assigned shift.

• Manages and oversees bed control and staffing functions and activities, including agency staff, as assigned.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity.

• Frequent: standing, walking.

• Occasional: sitting, stooping/bending, reaching above at, and below shoulder, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds of force, carrying up to 50 lbs.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• May be subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• Area of assignment encompasses total institution.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree preferred.

• Current BLS certification.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility.

• Three (3) years leadership experience in a hospital setting or related medical field demonstrating the ability to function as the administrative officer on assigned shift.
