Company within the Greater Philadelphia area is in search of a PLC Controls Technician within their Maintenance department. Candidates that are interested should have 2-5 years of PLC Programming experience utilizing Ladder Logic and programs such as RSStudio 5000, IDEC Automation Organizer, Red Lion Crimson, Omron CX-One. Candidates must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics. Must be familiar with maintaining equipment/inventories with CMMS software. This position requires understanding of belts, belt drives, chain drives, and gearboxes.

This position is hourly ranging from $30-$35/hr with OT. Hours are 7-3 PM (First Shift). Company offers weekly pay, $500 sign on bonus (available upon completion of 90 days employment), as well as opportunities for a wage increase within your first 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month reviews. responsibilities:

  • Responsible for inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair and compliance with codes.

  • Work involves testing electrical circuits equipment and fixtures using standard devices such as multimeters and oscilloscope.

  • PM and troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment

  • Work from drawings, sketches, machine operation and maintenance manuals and oral instructions.

  • Perform diversified and somewhat difficult work including analytical troubleshooting and complex maintenance functions.

  • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and considerable judgement to diagnose, dismantle & repair equipment.

  • Must be familiar with Ladder Logic and programs such as RSStudio 5000, IDEC Automation Organizer, Red Lion Crimson, Omron CX-One.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

  • Maintaining equipment/inventories with CMMS software.

  • Working with and understanding of belts, belt drives, chain drives, and gearboxes.

  • Install new equipment and modify as required to meet requirements.

  • Provide assistance in solving operational problems that may involve adaptations beyond the normal range and capacity of equipment.

  • Perform development and experimental work. Detect faulty operation, diagnose malfunctions and provide remedy.

  • Possesses computer skills necessary to perform all required functions.

  • Maintains established quality standards and keeps accurate records. Assists with new product development including research, design, prototypes and testing.

  • Performs other job related/complimentary tasks as needed or assigned by the supervisor or department head.

  • Follows all safety rules, regulations and company policies, and reports unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
