Everts Air Customer Service Agent in Fairbanks, Alaska

Role Summary

Customer Service Agents work in a fast-paced environment performing Customer Service functions, supporting flight operations to facilitate safe and smooth daily operations. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service. by identifying and addressing customer needs; assisting guests with reservations, checking baggage, boarding flights, welcoming/serving inbound customers, and other tasks relating to cargo transport support. Our priorities for this position include responding in a prompt, affirmatively courteous and friendly manner to encourage positive business relationships between Everts Air Alaska and its customers. Consistently maintaining the EAA lobby area, and coffee station for optimum customer service impact. Effectively perform assignments and manage work to meet established deadlines and performance goals.

Key Duties

  • Possess a high attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate reliability through attendance and maintaining quality and consistency in the delivery of customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for procedures in opening and closing of the passenger lobby at the beginning or ending of a daily lobby service.
  • Ensure the lobby area is prepared prior to initial guest check-in and prepped at the close of shift for the next day.
  • Provide courteous and informed customer service at desk, by phone and in writing.
  • Execute freight airway bills and passenger tickets accurately via TakeFlite (airline software program). Research airway bills or passenger tickets for accounting or customer use as needed.
  • Maintain cash drawer and accurately complete and submit Daily Sales Report (DSR).
  • Know, understand, and accurately facilitate all functions of TakeFlite.
  • Maintain daily contact with village agents via phone, email, and recordings regarding flight status.
  • Prepare and submit supply orders to the receptionist.
  • Make reservations for passengers and communicate cargo processing instructions to customers.
  • Coordinate flight and load status updates with Cargo department.
  • Obtain and communicate upcoming charter quote information to the Director of Operations/Chief Pilot.
  • Work with Sales and Operations to produce and disseminate customer charter quotes.
  • Conduct monthly Accounts Payable weight verification/audit for each location.
  • Conduct and submit Accounting Daily Sales Report verification, including check and deposit slip copies.
  • Review and follow through on past due accounts, report received from Accounts Receivable.
  • Pursue timely collection of accounts by phone and written contact.
  • Update CSA workstation instructions on an ongoing basis as required by process changes.
  • Provide training to new hires or other company personnel as needed.
  • Keep copy machine supplied and request additional supplies and service when needed.
  • Keep Everts Air Alaska lobby neat, clean, and tidy.
  • Keep lobby clean and vacuumed, coffee station stocked and clean and coffee made.
  • Become cross-trained in Cargo CSA Activities to support the Cargo office as needed.
  • Build an organizational culture in which passion for continuous improvement is innate.
  • Additional administrative duties that might be assigned by the Director of Operations or the Chief Pilot.

Job-Specific Experience, Education and Skills

Required

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Requires the ability to understand, retain, and deliver information verbally and written.
  • Individual must be energetic, self-motivated, and comfortable with frequent changes.
  • Must be able to accomplish assigned tasks independently and in a timely mann r.
