Job Description:

GDIT is currently seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team supporting the FDA. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is the federal agency responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation. The FDA is also responsible for: advancing the public’s health by helping to speed innovations that make medicines and foods more effective, safer, and more affordable; helping the public acquire the accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines and foods to improve their health.

In this role you will work as a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst involved in all phases of the development lifecycle. You will participate in design sessions, both from custom code as well as architecture standpoint. You will attend customer and team meetings to support various program tasks including design review, stage gates, technical roadmap, production troubleshooting including performance issues, etc. As needed, create various document artifacts including design/ technical approach document, target state diagrams, installation instructions, Visio diagrams, etc.

This role is fully remote!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts

  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results

  • Work in an agile environment with rapidly changing requirements

  • Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members

  • Support all aspects of user acceptance testing by the primary customer and/or users

  • Adapt test automation to suit project needs

  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes

  • Create clear and detail-oriented test plans

  • Be a liaison with development and engineering support teams to assist with troubleshooting

  • Work in an Oracle or SQL Server environment

  • Maintain the integrity of Automated tests in multiple environments.

  • Review and approve QA Automation specifications and acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborate with team members (Development, Testing Engineers, Scrum Master), Product Owner and Business partners to ensure that proper software testing methodologies are used, product requirements/issues are documented and diagnosed, and testing is completed according to established deadlines and processes.

  • Coordinate with manual testers to convert test cases

  • Provide technical guidance to mid-level developers as and when required.

  • Work closely with release manager to ensure completion of key tasks including deployment, code baseline and merge, version control, etc.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree)

  • 5+ years of experience in the development and execution of test plans and test scripts for Web-based applications

  • 3+ years' experience with Atlassian software such as JIRA and Confluence

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3+ years of solid experience in QA automation. Experience with UI test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG

  • Good knowledge of SQL coding

  • Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development (Gherkin), Behavior Driven Development

  • Proficiency using Selenium for automated testing

  • Programming and scripting with Java & HTML/CSS//XML/ JavaScript

  • Testing Framework: TestNG, BDD, Junit, Protractor

  • Development Environment: Eclipse / Maven/ANT

  • Agile / Scrum (workflow Rally or JIRA)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

The likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
