Duties are to repair, modify, maintain and install medical equipment to ensure proper functioning; works on all medical devices such as C-Arms, Ultrasounds, Hydraulic Exam tables, EKG machines among others. Replace defective components or parts, using hand tools and precision instruments and sets up and operates specialized or standard test equipment to diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of electronic components, assemblies, or systems. Sometimes there is a need to integrate software or hardware components, using computer, microprocessor, or control architecture. Participate in training or continuing education activities to stay abreast of engineering and medical industry advances. Requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Electronics Technology or closely related engineering discipline.
