Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of general electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance functions in the facility.

• Repairs mechanical hospital equipment. Cooling, heating, Condensate Pumps, Boilers, Minor Chiller Maint, Cooling Towers, Drain Lines, Electrical Circuits.

• Performs preventive maintenance on Ice machines, Air Handlers, Boilers, Negative Pressure Rooms, Beds, Pump Service,

• Repairs HVAC units, monitors mechanical plant and conducts boiler water testing.

• Conducts mechanical rounds and documents daily readings for equipment.

• Communicates effectively with Manager on Mechanical issues and projected down times and status updates.

• Completes paperwork and work order documentation.

MINIMUM EDUCATION

Required Minimum Education:

High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Education: 2yrs/Associate

Specialty/Major: Technical Degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical

Experience:

Required: 5+ years experience in the Maintenance Field, Proven ability to read and understand Blue Prints, Mechanical Drawings, Electrical Schematic Diagram understanding, Mechanical knowledge and general understanding regarding motors, three phase electrical circuits, and applications of force, pressure and energy. Direct knowledge of steam systems and sterilization processes and components.

Preferred: Associates degree or equivalent of 5 plus years experience in the maintenance field, HVAC Certification, or Fire Alarm Certification and testing/repair knowledge.

3rd shift, Will be independent, needs to have Knowledge on the following: Basic plumbing, electric, AHU's, Boilers, general MEPS repairs
