This individual is a key member of the Plant Leadership Team (PLT) and will collaborate with the plant team to advance 3M Fairmont.As Plant Engineering Senior Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Providing daily supervision and coordination of Plant Engineering/Maintenance resources in support of the needs of our business partners.Leading the site Plant Engineering department by developing/implementing strategic and operational plans for the department including staffing, budget attainment, workload forecasting, and succession planning.Developing and maintaining the technical competency for the PE team and provides leadership, coaching and direction to direct reports.Serving on the site PLT representing the Plant Engineering/Facilities Management organization in delivering all facility related services.Identifying and supporting business efforts to implement safety methods/processes, drive improvement in equipment reliability (OEE/CEE), and productivity within the Plant Engineering department.Ensuring Maintenance Conscious Engineering (MCE) considerations are raised during project team meetings as maintenance representative; actively support MOC process to ensure the safe and effective implementation of changes.Communicating project or program status and results to stakeholders.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start)Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environmentTwo (2) years of experience in a leadership and/or supervisory roleAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Secondary Degree or higher in Engineering or related Technical Field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution preferred.Experience in a union facilityPrevious experience as a Manufacturing or Plant Engineering leaderExperience implementing and executing Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean manufacturing principles, Root Cause Problem Solving, TPM, etc)Demonstrated ability to lead attainment of objectives for EHS, Quality, Service and/or CostBasic understanding of Environmental and Regulatory Compliance, NFPA, and OSHA standards.Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), Certified Maintenance Manager, Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional, RE or CAMA certification.Ability to work well with cross-functional peer team, partnering divisions, provide leadership for a diverse organizationTo learn more about 3M Fairmont and the Fairmont, MN area, please watch the following video:3M Fairmont Plant - A great place to work - A great place to live - YouTubeWork location:Fairmont, MNTravel: May include up to 10% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally aut orized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
