CommuniCare Health Services Corporate Regional Facilities Manager in Fairmont, West Virginia

CommuniCare Health Services is currently recruiting for a Regional Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance departments at multiple facilities in West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. This position requires extensive travel to facilities throughout the area of coverage.

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT

The position of Regional Facilities Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities to ensure that the assigned Facilities are maintained in accordance with all Federal, State, local and life safety requirements. He or she also coordinates Facilities related activities that enable Communicare Health Services to meet objectives related to managing the useful life and maintenance of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment and supports development initiatives by helping coordinate or provide periodic supervision of refurbishment projects as needed. The Regional Director of Facility Management ensures a safe work environments for residents, employees, subcontractors, visitors, and others.

The incumbent in this position must present a professional image to all customers and take a pro-active approach in maintaining CHS facilities by providing supervision, training, and hands-on assistance. This position must maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including but not limited to Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and the State Department of Health in maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, homelike setting for our residents within fiscal objectives. As a member of the CommuniCare management team, this position works closely with the management at the Divisional and all levels of management both at the corporate and facility levels.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and regulations; State regulations applicable to Nursing Homes; Knowledgeable on survey protocol and the Guidance to Surveyors of LTC facilities; JCAHO regulations and policy development as it pertains to JCAHO.

  • Knowledge of construction methods and building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, cleaning methods and chemicals, floor care, fire safety, emergency preparedness, quality control systems, and financial controls.

  • Excellent management and communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with and motivate and train immediate staff and other employees at center to assure goals are met within established time frames.

  • Must be able to implement quality Improvement programs as they pertain to housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance.
