CNC Machinist B SHIFT 4PM-930PM

As a CNC Machinist, you will demonstrate your proficiency through the following responsibilities:

Machine Setup and Operation Set up and operate machines, observing their operation to verify accuracy of settings and detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

Deburring and Tooling Operations Set up and control the operation of computerized deburring and tooling machines to perform machining operations, including drilling, chamfering, and deburring.

Inspection Inspect workpieces throughout the production run for out-of-tolerance machining.

Inventory Maintenance Responsibly maintain inventory for raw materials consumed on jobs and work orders to ensure parts can be reordered within appropriate lead times.

Work Area Maintenance Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

Language Skills Proficient in English reading and writing, able to read and comprehend MSDS sheets and standard work instructions. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Teamwork Function as a member of a customer-focused quality team with a goal of ensuring product quality requirements are met, with moderate supervision and a strong work ethic.

Performance Maintain adequate levels of performance and motivation despite routine, repetitive, and/or non-stimulating tasks.

Operational Knowledge Possess detailed operational knowledge of specific CNC mills and lathes to operate them safely and efficiently.

Machine Controls Understand how to calculate and set machine controls either manually or by entering commands.

Precision Tools Proficient in using precision measuring tools and equipment, and able to read drawings and blueprints.

Familiarity with Tools Familiar with common machine and measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.

Physical Requirements Regularly exert up to 35 lbs. of force, occasionally up to 50 lbs. Bend body downward and forward at the waist, stand for sustained periods, and move about on foot to accomplish tasks.

Working Conditions

• Regularly exerting up to 20 lbs. of force, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

• Bending body downward and forward at the waist.

• Standing for sustained periods.

• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
