ManTech Principal Technical Support Specialist in Falls Church, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Technical Support Specialist, Asset Management in the Falls Church/Alexandria, VA area. This is an ONSITE position supporting the US government.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical support to staff and customers by testing software and hardware products

  • Maintaining software documentation

  • Responding and following up on internal and external customer support problems

  • Providing support to end users for either PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware

  • Provide technical leadership in base labor category description. Apply this leadership in any phase of the system development life cycle support as task requirements dictate and may have a high level of expertise in one area

  • Plan, recommend, and perform changes

  • Utilize an accomplished knowledge of multiple technical disciplines, unique applications, and business management practices to develop technical and/or business solutions to client problems

  • Assist clients in planning and developing objectives and goals

  • Support client objectives while conforming to the client’s operating practices

  • May be required to act as a technical supervisor

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of IT management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology management or equivalent

  • Applicable and current project/program management certifications (i.e., PMI certs)

  • Applicable and current information technology certifications (i.e., DoD 8570/DoDM 8140 certs)

  • Complex problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Comfortable in stressful situations and able to work well under pressure

  • Oral and Written Communication Skills, Organizational Skills, Presentation Skills using PowerPoint, Public Speaking Skills, Team-building Skills, Typing Skills

  • Strong critical thinking, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in information technology management or equivalent

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to setting start date

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/talking/walking

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods

  • Communicating with others to exchange information

  • Working with computers
