Saint-Gobain Logistic Coordinator in Faribault, Minnesota

This position is tasked with logistics scheduling, freight optimization, order fulfillment, inventory control, and assisting with production as needed. The incumbent will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Interfaces and Responsibilities:

Key internal interfaces will be with the Plant Manager, the Supply Chain Manager for US Operations and the Director of Operations. This position will work collaboratively with the entire organization in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Logistics scheduling / freight optimization, but not limited to plan, organize and control all transportation operations in liaison with sales administration and production department.

  • Complete and compile paperwork for customer shipments – including NAFTA, MSDS, bills of lading, and ensuring the correct parties receive the correct manifests. Sending required completed paperwork to corporate office daily.

  • Manages as the key point of contact, all aspects of contracts with vendors for services and rates relative to facility upkeep and office equipment.

  • Monitor and keep virtual inventory for remote terminal(s), reconcile and report month end numbers to corporate office.

  • Create and maintain preventative maintenance schedule for trucks and other related equipment keeping in compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary

Education/Experience Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years’ experience OR equivalent combination (HS+5-6 years’ experience)

  • Understanding of the cost of logistics and international freight. -

  • Able to manage supplier relationships, contract negotiations, etc. with facility related vendors.

  • Proficiency in EXCEL and working with an ERP system

  • Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements, while keeping the needs of the business in the forefront.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
