Description

We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the retail industry. Based in Melville, New York, this role involves processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will also oversee customer accounts and take appropriate actions.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions to ensure timely payments

• Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy

• Handle billing processes and ensure they are completed accurately and on time

• Apply cash applications and cash collections as necessary

• Use Microsoft Excel to organize data and create reports

• Manage commercial collections efficiently.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of three years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or a similar position within a retail setting.

• Proficient in account reconciliation, managing accounts receivable (AR), and billing processes.

• Experienced in cash applications and cash collections procedures.

• Familiar with commercial collections and able to manage them effectively.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.

• Excellent time management skills, capable of meeting strict deadlines.

• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• High degree of professionalism and a strong work ethic.
