Precipart Customer Accounts Specialist in Farmingdale, New York
Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is looking for a Customer Accounts Specialist with a strong customer focus to coordinate processes from purchase order initiation to delivery. This includes, initiating quotations for production items and overseeing contracted inventory levels and customer satisfaction measures. As a Customer Accounts Specialist, you will proactively communicate issues to all appropriate internal departments and take the lead to communicate resolution with customers. We are looking for someone who is customer-centric and can confidently recommend solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee customer schedules and monitor our commitment dates against customer requirements
Receive customer PO's and perform a commercial contract review of quotation vs customer PO. Resolve discrepancies (if any)
Process customer purchase orders, inquiries, and/or customer issues related to orders
Process purchase orders and/or manufacturing orders for outsourced products
Oversee delivery execution and logistics of customer orders and purchase/manufacturing orders to meet customer demand
Gather and communicate, externally and internally, information pertaining to changes to existing orders
Track order activity and communicate any potential delivery problems
Update internal systems and customer portals in accordance with changes
Quickly and effectively resolve customer or production issues, and provide timely communication to customers on status and resolution
Perform monthly account review – customer forecast vs backlog and manufacturing/purchase orders
Understand customers measurements of Precipart, i.e. on time delivery to request date, on time delivery to promise date, etc. Work to make sure Precipart is aligned with measurements, and performing at the highest standard
Run customer specific reports and share data with customers
Provide pricing, inventory availability and production schedule information to customers
Review contractual inventory amounts required in stock per customer. Adjust discretionary amounts based on future projections, on time delivery and changes to delivery dates.

Responsible for conforming with the company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION:
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role (candidates with less experience can be considered for Coordinator level).
Associates degree required or equivalent work experience
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience with Mapics or other MRP/ERP programs a plus
PAY RANGE: $25.00 to $30.00 an hour
