Located in Farmingdale, NY

Salary: $21.50

This role is responsible for welding manufactured components consisting of aluminum, steel and stainless steel according to customer specifications. The shifts are from 7am-3:30pm/3:30pm- 12am.

Main Job Duties:

Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on manufactured components Review and understand work instructions and blueprints to ensure proper components are used Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problems Communicate effectively with department personnel to facilitate production orders Follow instructions as provided by supervisor Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications Cooperate with other employees in the department and maintain a safe working environment Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area Adhere to all company safety regulations Other duties as assigned Education:

High School diploma or equivalent is required

Experience:

A minimum of 1 year of welding experience is required A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Ability to understand a work order to use proper components is required Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints is required Knowledge of quality assurance concepts to identify and prevent errors within the production process is preferred Ability to work overtime when required Ability to arrive promptly for shift and stand and/or walk for duration of shift Ability to hear, speak, kneel, bend and use a step ladder or stool Capable of lifting 45 pounds Capable of working in a manufacturing environment
