This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to be a part of the Otis World Headquarters (WHQ) Corporate Controller Organization. You could be part of our next chapter as an Accounting and Controllership Manager with primary responsibility for participating in the preparation and filing of Otis’ quarterly and annual financial results, as well as for performing analytical and quality reviews of all financial and non-financial reporting deliverables to support SEC-filing requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepares and analyzes the quarterly consolidated Statement of Operations, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows and other required financial statements and related footnotes to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC disclosures

  • Gathers and reviews information required for filing Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K with the SEC

  • Assists in monitoring, evaluating and analyzing changes in existing financial reporting standard requirements and new accounting pronouncements to ensure compliance with all SEC, FASB and other technical developments

  • Prepares the monthly Statement of Cash Flows and other monthly or quarterly financial information, as applicable

  • Contributes to special projects with the Otis Controller and Assistant Controller

  • Works with and participates in meetings with external auditors regarding the annual financial statement audit

  • New roles and responsibilities as we continue to define and standardize across the Controller’s organization

Education / Certifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required

  • An MBA, or designation as a CPA, a plus

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of related accounting and/or financial reporting experience required

  • Experience with working under tight reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational skills and a focus on continuous improvement

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • A demonstrated attention to detail

  • Ability to deal with all levels of a global organization

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and meet critical deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SEC reporting

  • Experience with Workiva and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) a plus
