Aerotek General Production Worker in Farmington Hills, Michigan

Description

CSM is looking for 6 Screw Machine Operators. The machines they would be operating are ACME and Davenport. All of the machines are manual. Their job duties will be the following:

  • Setup & Operate automatic screw machinery to produce parts according to specifications
  • Install and adjust cams, gears and stops to the screw machine and verify the positioning of cutting tools by using gauges and/or other instruments
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure accurate production
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance -Stock & load machinery, maintaining proper oil levels, cutting fluids or lube. Keeping machinery free of chip buildup.
  • Monitor production process to identify and resolve any issues or defects
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
  • In-process, first piece and final inspections

Shift: 5AM-5PM Monday - Thursday. They are offering Friday and Saturday as OT.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVE: 1) Work experience in a manufacturing environment in any role 1a) They will look at auto mechanics as well. 2) Mechanically inclined 2a) How is the candidate mechanically inclined? Can they look at something and figure out what is wrong with it and fix it? Any experience with preventative maintenance? Knows how to use hand tools? Tearing apart things and putting them back together, CSM wants those type of candidates. 3) Experience with quality testing 3a) Mics, calipers, gages (all manual not digital)

NICE TO HAVE: 1) Any experience working with a Screw Machine. 1a) Candidates with any screw machine experience they will interview. Ask the candidate what brand of screw machine they have worked with? Any experience especially with ACME and Davenport will move to the front of the list. 2) Preventative maintenance experience 3) Experience with reading blueprints and the ability to do so 4) Experience with a Roller Header machine

If a candidate does not have any of the nice to haves experience, that is fine. They are willing to train anyone and put time and effort into them. They would just start off at a lower pay.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00
