Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a Mechanical Engineering Manager located in Farmington Hills, MI. Reporting to the Director-Design, Process and Technology Engineering, the Mechanical Engineering Manager role involves guiding a team of Mechanical Engineers in order to ensure that cost, quality and delivery targets are met. What a typical day looks like: Provides technical guidance to Mechanical Engineering & Design teams. Oversees resources budgeting, allocation, review, and approval. Tracks projects and progress through regular reviews. Assigns resources to projects based on requirements and budget. Develops control systems and reports which accurately measure progress, identifies potential technical problems, and implements timely corrective actions to ensure that business goals are met. Participates in product architecture and feasibility technical reviews. Guides the development of product designs from proposal to delivery. Provides technical assistance to customers, Program Management, and Sales team. Implements appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
