ZF Active Safety and Electronics US LLC Senior Engineer - Algorithm, Project Lead in Farmington Hills, Michigan

Job Duties: Responsible to create and maintain algorithm software release schedules and algorithm maturity estimations; Coordinate feature releases with feature owners and software teams; Act as single point of contact for all algorithm development issues and clarifications with customer, supplier or internal teams; Follow a defined system's process to ensure good quality and documentation; Review, track and support baselining efforts for feature system and software level requirements; Interact with supplier to drive feature algorithm maturity advances and issue resolutions; Configuration management (regularly check work and create baseline for all major releases); Tracking (raise new open issues; keep track & bring to closure assigned open issues); Coordinate and review issue release notes for relevant baselines, software development plan, software requirement specifications (SRS) and software quality assurance plan; Work with hardware & software engineering to resolve implementation issues and validate design; Provide customer interface regarding product functionality; and Review field issues and work with respective teams for closure. A Hybrid (in-office & telecommute) work schedule is available. Position requires up to 10% travel (at request of the customer) to domestic and international locations to perform problem resolution.

Minimum Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, engineering (any), or closely related field, plus 5 years of experience in algorithm engineering (or related) occupations, and demonstrated experience with: Developing automotive software and algorithms; Developing ADAS features; ADAS camera perception; Programming in C/C++, Python or Matlab; Model based development in Simulink, Targetlink or Controldesk; Performance algorithms and performance calibrations; Working with automotive development processes compliant with ASPICE and ISO26262; Working with vehicle bus architectures CAN/CAN FD, CANalyzer, CANoe or CANape; Working with Product Life Cycle Management tool PTC Integrity; Requirement engineering in DOORS; and Project planning with Microsoft Project.
