Direct daily activities of all personnel to enhance the overall efficiencies and accuracies of all processes required to setup, audit, pack, and stage for put away of production orders. Complete production orders and stage completed sets for put away in finished goods storage locations for MAHLE Aftermarket Inc. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assign work and maintain workflow at optimum levels. Monitor reports for prioritize & ready to pack orders, old orders and COGI errors. Prioritize and coordinate with group leaders, SAP Coordinators, and Production Control to schedule production orders to meet delivery and productivity requirements. Ensure work meets or exceeds quality standards for all processes. Timely completion of assigned Corrective Action Requests. Daily assignment and verification of aisles/areas for cleanup and 5S. Daily rack attack crews to engage employees and ensure the right part is in the location, no mixed parts in any bin, remove trash, remove damaged products with location ID to red bin for scrapping, all PN's facing up and out for the pickers. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Monitor and disposition all pallets/bin boxes/products in area of responsibility for correct status identification. Address problems as they arise. Perform Safety Observation Tour monthly. Conduct rack inspections weekly. Communicate and maintain company policies and disciplines. Daily policing of the floor for enforcement of safety and productivity practices (cell phones, safety shoes, harnesses, staying busy, addressing problems in correct completion of tasks). Perform disciplinary action as necessary to hold employees accountable. Maintain timely employee records concerning attendance and production performance. Access timekeeping system to correct punches & attendance for all employees; ensure accurate time sheets for temporaries via temp agency requirements. Perform all tasks as required by the applicable work instructions. Write or revise established work instructions as processes are introduced or change. Support proper on-the-job training (OJT) with Group Leaders for new employees and new or changed processes. Develop, submit, and test systemic changes and improvements. Maintain communication of pertinent details between departments. Read and respond to emails as necessary. Perform effective shift handoff to include status of radios, harnesses, fork lifts, scanners, overtime plans (stay late/arrive early assignments & report times that impact the next shift). Daily reporting of metrics on local SFM boards & daily operations meeting board. Implement actions to achieve department KPI's. Implement new ideas and processes to improve efficiencies and reduce wastes. Promote company loyalty and good employee morale. Monthly group recognition of Top Performers (highest production, most improved, Above & Beyond). Ensure proper staffing levels to fill vacancies; coordinate and clarify needs with HR. Give timely employee reviews fairly critiqued for employee development. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervisor is responsible for leading department to achieve company goals. Must possess strong proven leadership and people skills. Ability to prioritize and schedule work flow within department. Must possess basic knowledge of Human Resource skills and Labor practices.
